At Alaska Colorectal Surgery we offer specialized surgical care for patients with colorectal disease by the only board certified colon and rectal surgeons in the State of Alaska. Our physicians have specialty expertise and training in the diagnosis and surgical management of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Our doctors offer prevention in the form of screening colonoscopy, as well as surgical management of established colorectal cancer.
What We Treat
Our doctors treat benign and malignant conditions of the colon, rectum, and anus. The most common anorectal conditions we treat include hemorrhoids, anal fissures, perianal abscesses and fistulas, anal warts, pruritus ani, levator spasm, and anal cancer. Common pelvic and abdominal diseases we manage include colorectal polyps, colon cancer, rectal cancer, medically refractory Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, rectal prolapse, and severe constipation. Our doctors also perform routine screening colonoscopy exams, and surgically treat anorectal conditions, as necessary. If you have any of these conditions, or any other issues requiring our expertise, please refer to the Glossary of Terms, the Surgical Procedures, or call 907-222-1401 set-up an appointment.
